Violet Gibbons

Violet Gibbons is a self-taught artist based in Middle Cove, Newfoundland. They have a focus on traditional mediums, such as watercolours, but have added to their skillset by branching out into the digital art world. Daytimes are typically spent working with children, however, their free time is dedicated to volunteering as a member of the Board of Directors for a local non-profit artist network, IceberGallery.

As a part of the board, they organize and execute low-to-no-cost opportunities to emerging artists. They’ve participated in numerous print markets, and galleries along with completing a variety of freelance commissions. Additionally, they have an Instagram (below) where they post their progress, sketchbook work, and completed prints.

Violet is dedicated to the belief that art has the power to inspire and connect. They are an artist whose journey is as much about fostering creativity in others as it is about their own expression.
